h2o1 wrote on Jun 19, edited on Jul 3 PART TWO: The Roi Namur Jabinamkan war Battle by Irooj Chief Launa and Loanne and Kabua the Great against Irooj Chief Tibko now at this point Chief Irooj Tibko when he saw that he can not withstand and confront such a great number of men mobalized by Kabua the great and Irooj chief Launa the great warrior then he finally decided to set sail immediately to get more and better arms for himself in Likiep Atoll with his niece Sophia the wife of Adolf Capelle who owned at that time gunpowder firing canon and gun fire arms so he told Loanne Lejjeje and Irooj chief Kabua the Great and Irooj Launa that the war is not over yet after he shall be coming back from Likiep Atoll with the modern weapons from Adolf Capelle and wife Sophia from Ebon Atoll. However, when Irooj Chief Tibko reached Likiep Atoll to get his request with Adolf Capelle 's modern arms weapons, he had already developed a bad serious bodily malady or illness that did not fulfill his battle war plan against Loanne Lejjeje and Irooj chief Kabua the Great and high chief Irooj warrior Launa at that time unfortunately he did not live long to come back from Likiep with those modern European weapons when he instantly passed away and was buried on the island of Liklal with his giant grave cemetry there on Liklal island of Likiep atoll. Now Kabua ,Loanne, and Launa became the three victors and gain victory over all the islands of Jabinamkan of all islands of Roi and Namur (Ailinjaben) and that is their own islands by both Marojinkod (lands won by victory in battle fight) and by heridetary. Before Irooj chief Launa had passed away Loanne Lejjeje was already passed on the power by Irooj chief Launa himself and Kabua the Great with all powers on all the Jabinamkan islands of Roi and Namur (Aelinjaben) as Ri bebe and Ri Ajej (sole counsellor) of all the Iroojs (chiefs) and owned them all and took charge of all of them with this power passed on to him from Irooj chief Launa and Kabua the Great while most of this time Irooj chief Kabua the Great and chief irooj Launa usually go up to Jabwor, Jalooj Atoll after their victory over Irooj chief Tibko where they usually stay as it was the seat of the German government during those days but in many occoassions Irooj Kabua and Irooj Launa would occoassionally come themseves to visit Loanne Lejeje on Jabinamkan of Roi and Namur (Ailinjaben)... On one occoassion when Binaak and Juukwe were borned to Lerooj Neimat who was Loanne's niece, Loanne gave a piece of land in Roi Namur to Irooj chief Litokwa when he adopted Li Juukwe Kabua from Laelang Kabua eldest son of Kabua the great and lerooj Neimat so that he can stay with Juukwe and raise her on Roi Namur(Aelinjaben) and now up to this very day this piece of land Loanne gave to high chief Irooj Litokwa now belong to his granddaughter high Chieftess Neilang Loeak his successor and after her would be her youner sister high Chieftess Likuor Litokwa Loeak. On another occoassions Kabua came with the other Iroojs high chiefs and this time Launa had already passed away to take Loanne Lejeje with him to prove to the German government his case on Namorik Atoll against the Irooj Aswa of Namorik and Loanne and Kabua the Great won the case in the German High court that Namorik atoll also belongs to Kabua as Irooj of Namorik as well and Loanne Lejjeje argued this case clearly to the German High Court concerning Namorik Atoll between and among all the Iroojs and peoples for Kabua the great as who is the actual High chief ( Irooj ) of Namorik Atoll and Loanne Lejjeje testified, proved and argued this Namorik case for Irooj laplap chief Kabua the great and won the case for Namorik Atoll for High Chief Irooj laplap Kabua the great. He argued on behalf of Kabua the great the fundamental proof beside the others that the great high Chief Patriarch Irooj Lanini had planted all the wut kajiro ( The kajiro flowers) for Libokean, Kabua the great's mother in midsection of Namorik ... In later years in one of the most astounding event he did in front of all the high chiefs Iroojs Loeak,Kabua,Litokwa Nelu,Laelang and Jeimata was taking from all the Iroojs the entire island of Nel island of Kwajalein and splited it in half and divided it by two right in front of their eyes and took half of Nel in front of all of the Iroojs (chiefs) with his own power took it away from all of them and gave it out as "Erantip" traditionally as gift from himself solely to Kabua Kabua as Neimat is Loanne's niece and Kabua Kabua's mother and none of any of the High chiefs Iroojs had ever challenged to make any objections and even never say a single word of objections to any actions and plans whatsoever Loanne would do for all of the Iroojs laplaps (high chiefs) even to the days of Jeimata Kabua who did always say "Men eo wot Loanne ej ba " meaning whatever he says and and acts upon it is final and concluded and we shall always follow it." Now this was the most strange and unique traditions Loanne used to do in many cases such as this and had had aways impressed all of the household family like alap Laibon Jejjo, alap Jakeo Jejjo ,alap Eodrik Jejjo, alap Lela Bolkeim Magistrate Jalle Bolkeim's mother and alap Neimeilu,Laibon Jejjo 's wife and Kukkuk Jejjo, and Neirele Kejubuki and even Magistrate Jalle Bolkeim and Aroneang Mawilong and his father Mawilong and brother Anjain and Alap Laibon Jejjo used to say Loanne Lejeje had never be scared of and feared any of them high chiefs Iroojs laplap but they had always respected and honored him always...this kind of case is very unique because all these Marshalls Iroojs or high chiefs, each and everyone of them will never dare to take one another's owned lands cause that would mean a war between themseves for lands and it just happened previously when high chief Irooj Litokwa and Kabua the Great were on the brink of war and all their peoples were all ready and prepared for war and both of them Kabua and Litokwa sent for Loanne on Roi Namur from Jalooj Atoll where they were going to start the war for all Ralik. Both of them sent for him to go to reconcile both of them and again in this great incident again Loanne had to consult his native pupu or native traditional magic power to select by lot (random) which one among the two Iroojs chiefs to visit first to consult with him and to reconcile each one of them not to take up arm against each other preparing to go to war and his native traditional pupu selection told him to go visit Chief Irooj laplap Litokwa first to reconcile him and when he was done with Irooj chief Litokwa, then finally he went to Irooj chief Kabua the great and said," Stop the childish play". and Kabua the Great exclusively and gladly listened to Loanne Lejeje solely but both of them gladly complied and listened gladly to Loanne Lejeje and both high chiefs would have had waged a very very bloody costly war for all their peoples of all Ralik Marshall islands but it was solely Loanne whom both of them were willing to put down their arms and were ready to wage their bloody war for all the lands they disputed about and Loanne was the only and sole mediator among all of the Iroojs chiefs in all such cases such as Kabua the Great and Irooj laplap chief Litokwa but in all occoassions all the high chiefs Iroojs were always willing to listen and comply with him as he was always their chief ri ajej and ri bebe (chief mediator and counsellor ) on all affairs and conflicts... Those who grew up with Loanne Lejeje were late Lela Bolkeim, Lokorab and his son Labirok Korab and their children Baiki Bolkeim, late magistrate Jalle Bolkeim and late Eaju Korab and late Betngi Anjain and this is why Lela and Labrok and Lakorab were extremely skilled in native navigational skills and native weather forecasting and astrology because Loanne had wholeheartedly taught them well fully savy on such native skills for his own family's future. as relayed by Kwajalein Historian, Jelbur Sam and Eowidrik Jejjo. h2o1 wrote on Jun 10, edited on Jun 29 PART ONE: One of Kwajalein greatest Historian,Jelbur Sam herein relate the above great Marshalls historic and fierecest battle at sea in which Kwajalein's great brave warrior and skilled navigator and weather forecaster, the high chief Irooj Launa defeated all the brave fighters from Woleai,Yap islands by spearings and native sharp swords war battle at sea. Now again in the great war battle waged against the most feared Ralik strong and giant built chief Irooj La Tibko in the 1860s started in the JabinamKan islands of Roi and Namur (Aelinjaben) It started when Irooj Tibko came in his giant canoe sailing to Jabinamkan. It had irritated him very much when foods for (ekkan) or Marshallese tradition of sharing the foods crops from the land and sea foods as well were hardly served to him and prevented by Loanne Lejeje of Roi and Namur and all of Jabinamkan from Roi and Namur (Ailinjaben) all the way to Kowakkan island (Gaggan) which Loanne gave it to his nephew Nakkap: And the rest of the islands west or north of Roi and Namur (Aelinjaben) was intended and urged by Irooj Kabua The Great and Irooj Launa were also kept reserved as their Jabinamkan Roi Namur food banterry and resorts restricted islands. Tibko was gravely agitated and gravely outraged and declared that he himself as powerful as he was and a giant most feared cause of the massive size of his strongly built giant tall physical body most feared in the entire Marshalls Ralik and Ratak and all the high chiefs and Irooj all feared him and no body can challenge such a massive strongly built giant and also a brave man too. Now high chief irooj Tibko at this time as he was so outraged, declared that he is going to Kill Loanne Lejeje and all the chiefs or Iroojs of all Ralik Chain and not one of them to be spared and he would start that fight or battle to kill all the Ralik chiefs or Iroojs with Loawanne Lejeje in Jabinamkan of Roi and Namur. Immediately Lowanne had had prepared ahead of time cause he had already realized and anticipated the forthcoming situation of the outrageous Irooj chief and Strong brave Tibko. Irooj Tibko himself is a high chief and Irooj himself descended from Irooj chieftain clan from his great grandfather the brave High chief Irooj lapap Laibat of Ajkan island (Edgegan) of Roi Namur (Aelinjaben) Kwajalein Atoll and all Western chains. As for Lowanne his father according to John Anjain and Handle Dribo and Laibon Jejjo and Eowidrik Jejjo and Atlang Riklong who are also grand grand grand sons of Irooj lablab Laibat of Kwajalein; It was Lejeje who used to lead the war fleet of all the Iroojs or chiefs in earlier battles cause he was also himelf an irooj or high chief also and traditionally only high chiefs lead all the iroojs fleet to battle; however at this critical time now for Lonne Lejeje whose father Lejeje himself was also Irooj who in earlier years he used to lead the war fleet wa (canoes) to battle and chief family related to Iroij Laibat and they are one and the same family of Iroojs but now this war was unavoidable as Irooj chief Tibko was so furious and determined to kill all the Iroojs or chiefs but first to kill Lowanne Lejeje and Lowanne immediately consulted his Marshallese method of magic power of selecting by lot (random) or bubu to select his hiding place in Jabinamkan of Roi and Namur and his pupu told him to select the big lake between Roi and Namur as his place of resort to hide and defend himself from the giant brave monster and strong warrior Irooj laplap Tibko. Of course here in Jabinnamkan was a very restricted place for resort exclusively for Iroojs or high chiefs only for their own resort and food banterry and It was resorted and reserved and planned beforehand by Loanne Lejeje and Iroij Kabua the great and Irooj high chief Launa to reserve all of Jabinnamkan and Lowanne Lejjeje to take charge of all of these islands of Jabinamkan of Roi and Namur and it was he Lowanne who made and pass the law " Jabi jab tari, tari jab jabi, jab tari, jab jabi, ".Won naj jabi ne ijab tari won naj tari ne ijab jabi".. It was Lowanne who created this law for Iroij chief Launa and Iroij lablab Kabua the Great, and that law at that time was for all the peoples, any Marshallese to be exclusively restricted to go or to sail to nearby all these islands of Jabinamkan of Roi and Namur (Ailinjaben) and the title word for Jabinnamkan means "restricted to sail close to or nearby these islands in the Jabinamkan of Roi and Namur with the exception of only few permitted by Iroij brave warrior chief Launa and Lowanne Lejjeje and Irooj Kabua the great exclusively and solely for them only during the time of Lowanne and Launa at this time for Kabua the great whose wife was Liwodrin who was Irooj Laibat and Tibko 's and Lowanne and Launa 's bloodline: Iroij laplap Laipat is the predecessor and La Rukojleen joi clan of the famous brave Iroij burak Jeprantak, Riklong,Jejjo,Dribo and Balos whose mothers were Lyddia and her sister whom today their descenants are: late Jakeo and Lamaina and Eodwrik and Laibon Jejjo, Atlong Riklong and Dr. Ezra Riklong and Wanjor Balos & Ataji Balos and Labwirej Dribo who was the wisest man leading the Marshallese and Japanese Government during the Japanese Adminstration on Jabwor Jalooj Atoll and his younger brother Handle Dribo, and all his younger brothers,Phillip and Luke Dripo and these are all the La Rukkojlen line of irooj burak and braves clan joi of ri Kwajalein and have been very powerful and influential and widely famous and known for their Iron minded determination and bravery ever since ancient days even unto this very day. There still exist the legend of these brave Kwajalein joi clan or laruukojleen men of the north western Marshalls which says," iia en an ri eang", meaning whenever in time of battle their rainbow will appear above in the northern sky and this will be the sign of their bravery and victory in all fights in battles and it had been proved always true in those days for the North men of Kwajalein and Rongelap Otto,Ujae, and Lae Bikini and Enewetak islands of the Northmen..Irooj Tibko at this time usually sit under his giant out-rigger canoe with his fighting weapons on the beach of what is now Jakaaroo Club in Roi Namur facing the land expecting any attack by Loanne Lejjeje anytime while Loanne Lejjeje was hanging out of Tibko's sight by the big lake between Roi and Namur awaiting any attack by Irooj chief Tibko any moment... Meanwhile as soon as Chief Irooj Kabua the Great and Chief Irooj Launa heard the news both of them came to the aid of Loanne Lejjeje and arrived on time but heavily mobilized with great number of men wariors.First Kabua the Great asked Loanne " Ewi enan in ailin je in le La leelang? what is the news of these islands? and Loanne told him,"You don't have any ekkan (the native food shares from the land and sea food as the cultural traditional custom) for I had prepared all and gave them all to Irooj chief Tibko" he told Irooj chief Kabua the great and irooj chief Launa. This made Irooj chief Kabua extremely furious that he turned to Irooj chief Launa and said "Komaakiti Irooj chief Tibko" then Irooj chief Launa started to attack Irooj chief Tibko. |
